![]() ![]() It works perfectly now, all of the chapters are there and in the right order on VLC and XBMC. What version of HandBrake you are running: 0.10. What are the steps to reproduce this problem: Insert DVD and start ripping incl. Its available through the VLC Player website and comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit. Recently, chapters got in an arbitrary order, possibly like 1,10,11.,2,20,21 I used both MKV and AVI container format. I then opened the xml file in Notepad++ and changed all of the UID numbers from random numbers to sequential, saved it out, and imported it into the chapter-less file and saved out the resulting mkv. I am using Handbrake quite a while under Ubunutu, now. This time, the video played properly and in order, but two of the chapter marks had disappeared completely (the ones which were jumping in without permission). I then disabled the chapters completely, saved out the chapter-less file, opened it in a new instance of mkvmerge GUI, imported the xml file and saved out the resulting mkv. This option is in the top-left corner of the VLC window. ![]() If any windows open when you do this, close them before proceeding. I used mkvmerge GUI (from the mkvtoolnix package) to export the chapters to an xml file, re-import them, disable the embedded chapters, and save out the resulting mkv. Open your computers DVD tray, place the DVD in the tray with the logo side facing up, and close the tray. I went a different way, Baldrick, after I downloaded ChapterGrabber and was told to get an API key, and to sign up for an account to get the key, and to logon using my real name, but only using Google or Facebook or a third thing.Īnyway, I investigated further, and found out the video played and skipped back and forth properly in VLC, but skipped through the chapters out of sequence in XBMC. Rip to individual chapters Hi, I have a whole lot of DVD's with music videos ripped to my hard drive and I would like to rip them into chapters individually without having to select each chapter individually and adding to the queue in Handbrake. Have you tried something like ChapterGrabber and use those chapters in the mkv? Same problem? Solved! I needed to rip a bunch of DVDs and rip each chapter to it's own file.I couldn't find a really quick easy way to set it up since each DVD I'm ripping has 40 chapters. ![]()
